How can we segment our customer base by attribute type?

Intro / Purpose
• We need a dashboard to better understand our Customer Profile
• Need to be able to see how much volume goes to each customer attribute type
• Important to highlight total volume but also see recent trends

Data Used
• Datasource: Consolidated demand
• Key Fields: Date, Product, Customer, Region, Group, Sales, Margin

• Categorize each customer into 8 different attributes
• Summary of wholesale customer related measures
• Volume of demand for each attribute type
• Trending of demand in each attribute type
• Detail for each customer

• Filter on timeframe

Sample Questions Answered
• Do we mostly sell to big or small customers? How profitable is each category?
• Do our customers normally order frequently or sporadically? Can we take action to change their behavior?
• Are we doing better with new or old customers, local or out of region, or a certain customer type?
