Analytics Explainer - Customer Deep Dive

Intro / Purpose
• We need a dashboard for deep insight into a single customer
• Need to be able to see demand trends, what they are buying, how important they are to our overall business, and how they compare to their peers
• Important to see if there are opportunities to target each customer differently

Data Used
• Datasource: Wholesale Sales Transactions
• Key Fields: Date, Beer, Customer, Container, Sales, Margin, Volume

• Recent performance of customer compared to all other customers during the period
• Demand trend for customer compared to previous periods
• Ranking of importance of customer compared to all other customers
• Listing of what customer is buying and how that compares to their peers

• Highlight individual customer
• Choose periods to view

Sample Questions Answered
• How is this customer performing? Above or below all other customers?
• How have they been ranking in terms of importance to our overall sales? Increasing or decreasing?
• What are they buying and how does that compare to their peers? Are there opportunities to sell them something different?
• What is their margin for kegs and cans and how does that compare with others?
